After 27 years in the military, Col. Eric Toler will take the helm at the Georgia Cyber Center.
An executive director has been appointed at the Georgia Cyber Center.
Col. Eric Toler, whose retirement ceremony from the Army was held Friday, will start his role at the Cyber Center on Oct. 1.
As executive director, Toler will work on building relationships with industry partners and establishing partnerships with federal government entities. In his new role, he will work with Augusta University, Augusta Technical College and the Georgia Technology Authority.
“The students are what we want to build on first,” Toler said. “We will have some of the best and the brightest cybersecurity professionals in the world, so that’s kind of the big vision, but then also doing projects, doing research and development, doing other operational things that lend to the defense of this community, this state and this nation.”
