Birmingham’s Shipt is announcing a partnership with 10 companies to give the employees of those companies access to same-day delivery from Shipt.
The “Shipt 4 Work” program allows new and existing employees at the companies to place orders and have the items delivered to their homes or offices in as little as one hour.
Eric Stoner, Shipt’s director of business partnerships, said companies are looking to include more value-added benefits and services. He cited research saying that the average person spends two hours a week traveling to and shopping in the grocery store
“This new benefits offering is the equivalent of giving employees an extra two weeks’ worth of time back per year," Stoner said.
Among the participating companies are Warren Averett, Synteract, Dow, Kimley Horn, BL Harbert, Envestnet, and others.
Qualifying employees can sign up for a free annual Shipt membership by visiting shipt.com/shipt4work and entering their company email address and employee ID number. Customers can then select their favorite retailers in the user-friendly app and on Shipt.com. To determine if delivery is available in your area, visit shipt.com/cities.
