A four-year-old Brentwood software company specializing in managing and tracking freight shipments has secured the No. 2 spot on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the country’s fastest-growing private businesses.
Freightwise finished 2018 with $33.6 million in revenues, up more than 30,000 percent from its early days in 2015. (Inc.’s list is based on three-year revenue growth.) CEO Chris Cochran told Inc. his team has grown to 39 people and is on track to double revenues this year.
The second-place ranking by Freightwise topped Axe Wellness — which was 35th in 2017 — as the highest placement by a Middle Tennessee-based company in recent years.
Three other local businesses ranked in this year’s top 500.
