The Madison County Economic Development Authority has announced UPS will be building a new $28.6 million distribution facility in Ridgeland starting in early 2021.
According to a news release issued Thursday, the new 87,500-square-foot facility is expected to bring more than 160 new jobs to the area with an average annual salary of $57,000.
“This new UPS facility will provide additional pickup and delivery services to our customers in Madison County, improving both speed and reliability,” said Cher Porties, president of UPS Mid South District. “As a partner in the community, we look forward to bringing jobs that pay well to the Ridgeland area.”
The facility will accommodate a fleet of more than 105 package delivery vehicles and serve as last mile package distribution, according to the release.
